The Cafe
We opened 'The Cafe' in February 2002, with by a major updating and refurbishment during the summer of 2006. I was in a process to do my nursing paper and decided the vision of the cafe. The vision behind 'The Cafe' was to provide a place for young people to meet and spend time, as well as providing a service to the local community, with facilities that would be appreciated by all ages of village life. All profits from 'The Cafe' will be given to Christian charities or the local community.
It is staffed by members the Church and christians from the local area, with opening hours of 10.30am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Specific events are organised by the Church for young people together with the community during evenings.
With a space for young people to meet and chat over a burger and cola, it also provides an opportunity for mums, grandparents and business people to come meet and relax.
It is equipped with an internet linked computer as well as being open wireless enabled for internet access from your own laptop.
